Position Overview:
We are looking for a strong Project Manager who will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to effectively manage resources and stakeholders. The successful candidates will be high-energy, team-oriented, collaborative individual. Must be able to successfully operate as a hands-on contributor in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and deadline-sensitive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and control.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines.
- Allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including stakeholders, vendors, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and integration of project activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify and address issues and risks, and take corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Track and manage project budgets, expenses, and resource allocations, ensuring financial objectives are met and costs are controlled.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, progress, milestones, and key decisions.
- Conduct regular project meetings, including kickoff meetings, status meetings, and post-mortem reviews, to facilitate communication and collaboration among team members.
- Manage project documentation and records, including project plans, schedules, budgets, change orders, and risk assessments, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, processes, and standards, and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, engineering, or a related field; PMP certification preferred. Master's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in project management roles, with a strong track record of successfully managing projects from initiation to closure.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, risks, and opportunities and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration among team members.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, Asana, or Trello, for project planning, scheduling, and tracking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and resources, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and excellence in project delivery and execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing ambiguity and uncertainty while maintaining focus and composure.
- Experience in specific industries or sectors relevant to the organization's projects, such as technology, operations or finance preferred.
- Experience with project management methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or Six Sigma preferred.
- Familiarity with project management software integration and customization, including API integrations and workflow automation preferred.
- Knowledge of project management standards and frameworks, such as PMBOK, PRINCE2, or ITIL preferred.
- Experience managing remote or distributed project teams and stakeholders, using virtual collaboration tools and techniques preferred.
