Process Engineer

Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Arden Hills, Minnesota (US-MN), United States (US)

Duration: 6-12 Month Contract to Hire

Rate: $65-70/hr

About the Role:

In a fast-paced and dynamic environment, this position will provide process development and validation support to the Manufacturing organization to deliver projects on time and per the validation strategy. Additionally, this position requires interfacing with Quality and Process Development organizations to integrate new processes into the existing manufacturing area. This role follows an onsite work model requiring employees to be in our local office five (5) days/week

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Understand engineering principles theories, concepts, practices and techniques. Apply technical knowledge to develop innovative processes, procedures, and tooling
• Ensure proper documentation is completed to meet quality systems requirements (e.g., BOMs, Validation Plans and Reports, FMEAs, etc.)
• Develop test plans, perform DOE and data analysis, and validate processes
• Work with vendors/suppliers to design and procure complex tooling, fixtures, and/or equipment.
• Write work instructions, technical reports, validations, and qualifications by capturing experimental results
• Works collaboratively with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Regulatory on complex projects to ensure success.
• Leads and communicates effectively on cross-functional project teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, or similar disciplines
• 5 years of experience related to manufacturing or process engineering
• Strong fundamental knowledge of automation systems including vision, inspection, servos, robots, and communication systems
• Proven experience validating manufacturing processes (SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV, etc..)
• Proven experience designing fixtures and machined tools
• Highly collaborative, with strong written and verbal communication skills, adjusting for audience requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Highly motivated individual that can independently drive deliverables to completion through collaboration among team members and departments
• Experience with automated machine vision systems/cameras (Cognex vision systems)
• Medical device manufacturing process development experience
