Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Plymouth, MN
Shift / Hours: 8-5 / 40 hours a week (potential overtime)
Pay: $25 - 30 HR
Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Facilities Technician to support day-to-day operations within an HVAC-focused environment. This is an entry-level, hands-on role designed to provide exposure to a wide range of tasks, including preventative maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and assisting experienced HVAC technicians and skilled trades professionals. You will play a key role in maintaining and supporting heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while gaining experience with both foundational and more advanced mechanical systems. This opportunity is intended to serve as a stepping stone into more complex HVAC service, maintenance, and systems-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, takes pride in high-quality work, and is motivated to grow within the HVAC and skilled trades field.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance including painting, patching, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Assist with plumbing tasks such as unclogging drains, replacing fixtures, and addressing leaks
- Support HVAC technicians with filter changes, equipment inspections, and routine upkeep
- Respond to internal work orders and resolve facility issues in a timely, professional manner
- Follow all safety protocols on the job, including proper use of tools and equipment
- Be available for on-call shifts that take place every 6 weeks and flexible scheduling as facility needs arise
- Exposure to boilers, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and other critical building infrastructure
Qualifications
- Completion of two-year HVAC degree from a reputable university
- Obtained the EPA 608 certification
- Ideally some experience in building maintenance, facilities, construction trades, or a related hands-on field
- Comfortable working with basic hand and power tools
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to roll up your sleeves on any task
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude — this team moves fast and takes pride in their work
