Data Analyst – Capital Projects
Location: Amarillo, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract through 2027 with potential for extension or fulltime conversion
Rate: $40 – 60/hr (D.O.E.)
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Data Analyst to support its Capital Projects team in Amarillo, TX. This role focuses on data management, validation, and preparation to enable field technicians and program teams to execute critical distribution and safety initiatives. This is not a data science or dashboard development role; instead, it is hands-on, operational data-focused role supporting largescale capital programs.
The Data Analyst will work closely with project managers, distribution operations teams, and technicians to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and ready for field execution. You’ll be directly supporting the Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings (EPSS) program – our clients largest wildfire mitigation program.
Key Responsibilities
• Pull, organize, and manage data related to distribution devices, settings, and capital projects
• Extract data from multiple sources including SharePoint, spreadsheets, vendor documentation, databases, and SAP
• Run recurring and ad-hoc data pulls in support of active capital programs
• Validate data accuracy and identify gaps or discrepancies before field deployment
• Prepare clean & consolidated datasets for distribution technicians and project teams
• Communicate directly with technical field personnel and program stakeholders
• Support data needs across multiple capital initiatives as priorities evolve
Required Qualifications
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook)
• 4 years of demonstrated ability to manage, clean, and validate data from multiple sources
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with field and technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in utilities, energy, or distribution operations
• Familiarity with SAP data or enterprise systems
• Exposure to capital projects or infrastructure programs
• Willingness to attend onsite training and periodic in-person collaboration
Work Environment
• Onsite collaboration with project managers and distribution operations teams
• Union field technicians supported by this role are part of Distribution Operations
Onsite Expectation:
• Onsite Tuesday – Thursday with Monday’s and Friday’s being remote.
• Non-local candidates must attend training in Amarillo; limited flexibility may be available after onboarding
