We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to animals, assisting veterinarians in clinical assessments, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both pets and their owners. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals in our care.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventatives while providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate medical records and insure appropriate invoicing for services.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic environment.
- Handle animals safely and effectively during examinations and treatments.
- Utilize team members and collaborate to assist with clinic efficiency and patient care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal handling.
- Knowledge of animal care practices.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification as a Veterinary Technician or equivalent experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
