Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Weekend Nurse Supervisor to oversee clinical operations during weekend shifts. This individual will ensure optimal patient care, provide leadership to nursing staff, and respond to emergencies and staffing needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all nursing activities on weekend shifts
- Ensure quality care is provided to all residents/patients
- Conduct rounds to assess patient/resident care and staff performance
- Support, mentor, and guide nursing staff
- Handle emergencies and make decisions regarding resident care
- Communicate with physicians, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Complete reports and documentation accurately and timely
- Current RN or LPN license in VA (required)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience (supervisory experience preferred)
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with long-term care, rehabilitation, or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to work independently and manage a team effectively
