During your residency at BFI you will learn how to provide flavor solutions to customers, gather sensory data, compound flavors, and expand your general knowledge of the flavor industry. This is a paid position at a competitive rate of $20/hr. The program will also require an independent product development project that will be presented to the company upon completion. Internship Description:

Daily duties will include:
- assisting the Flavor Team with flavor development and compounding flavors that go into snacks, sauces, baked products, RTD and RTM beverages, energy & hydration drinks, confections, etc.
- maintaining clear and accurate documentation of lab work, test results, and sample preparations.
- maintaining Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- performing other duties as assigned by flavor leads and management.
We are currently looking for candidates who are:
- Education: sophomore, junior, or senior in a Bachelor of Science program at a college or university
- Science major preferred
- Relevant Coursework: general chemistry, organic chemistry
- Experience: laboratory and or customer service experience preferred
- Skills:
- demonstrates effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- competency in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- excellent organizational skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Must be able to work with hands, taste and visual acuity to inspect product
- Must provide their own housing and transportation
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, occasionally bend and move around the facility. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
