Overview:
Brookside Equity Partners (“BEP”) is a private equity group that focuses on (i) sponsoring control private equity investments and (ii) co-investing, in majority or minority positions, in private equity transactions sponsored by other investment firms, management teams and experienced independent sponsors. BEP invests capital from a committed fund composed of family offices and similarly situated institutional patient, long-term investors seeking to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
BEP seeks to hire a Senior Analyst/Junior Associate. This position is expected to be a Pre-MBA, two (2) year program with the possible option to extend.
Description:
As a key member of a team, the Senior Analyst/Junior Associate will have responsibility to:
· Aid the team in all aspects of investment sourcing and execution, including new investment screening, identifying potential investment targets, industry research, company analysis, underwriting and diligence processes for investment opportunities
· Perform extensive analysis and financial modeling, along with development of investment memoranda
· Perform ongoing monitoring, analysis and reporting on existing investments, including preparing valuations and internal reporting
· Assist with a variety of internal functions, including preparing presentations for current and prospective investors and overall portfolio reporting
· Support BEP team in developing and executing on investment themes and theses
· Support BEP team with continued development and execution of firm initiatives
General and Background Qualifications:
· A Bachelor's Degree with strong academic record from a leading undergraduate institution
· A self-starter with one (1) to three (3) years of investment banking, private equity, credit (mezzanine or leverage finance), transaction services and/or consulting experience. If background is in credit, consulting or transaction services, candidate should have extensive experience working directly with private equity sponsors
· Strong aptitude for LBO financial modeling with demonstrated attention to detail
· Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills
· Ability to perform broad industry research and synthesize findings into clear concise conclusions and cohesive investment theses
· Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required along with proficiency in business intelligence and AI tools
· Very strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
· Ability to travel
· Unquestionable integrity and ethics
Compensation and title commensurate with experience. Level, Title and/or Salary may be adjusted based on the applicant's experience or skills.
