Qualifications:
●MA DOE Certification in Speech/Hearing and Language Disorders
●Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
●Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
●Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education
●Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, time-management, and technology skills
●Experience with providing Speech and Language services in a public school setting
●Proficiency in documentation and progress reporting
●Ability to create effective and individualized treatment plans
●SEI training preferred; Bilingual preferred
●Strong ability to relate and work with the elementary school learner
●Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and specialists on interdisciplinary initiatives
●A positive person, willing to become involved in the academic and social aspects of school life to support student success, school spirit, and school climate and culture
●Sensitivity to and experience working with diverse student populations
Duties:
●Conduct speech and language evaluations to assess students' communication skills
●Administer standardized tests to diagnose speech and language disorders
●Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in accordance with required timelines and regulations for students with speech or language delays
●Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in small groups.
●Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication development.
●Collaborate with staff regarding augmentative communication devices
●Monitor and document students' progress and adjust therapy methods as needed
●Write and input progress reports, measurable goals and objectives
●Liaison for students on caseload
