Position Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all residents, visitors, and staff in accordance with the community’s standards, policies, and state regulations. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our residents enjoy a clean and welcoming home-like environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of resident apartments, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens.
- Clean and sanitize common areas such as dining rooms, lounges, hallways, restrooms, and offices.
- Empty trash and replace liners in resident rooms and common areas.
- Change bed linens, make beds, and restock supplies as needed.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns immediately to the Environmental Services Director or Maintenance Team.
- Handle residents’ personal belongings with respect and care.
- Follow infection control procedures and use proper cleaning chemicals safely and effectively.
- Maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
- Support and participate in community events, activities, and special projects as needed.
- Ensure all cleaning assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, especially in healthcare or senior living environments.
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and respectful attitude toward residents and staff.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions.
Work Environment:
- Assisted Living community setting with direct contact with residents and staff.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and potentially infectious materials (with proper protective equipment provided).
Schedule:
- Flexible schedule; may include weekends and holidays based on community needs.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
