Duties
- Perform inspections of septic tanks, drain fields, and related components to identify issues and ensure proper functioning
- Install, repair, and maintain septic systems using construction plumbing techniques and hand tools
- Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely to excavate and access septic components
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation or repair tasks
- Conduct pipe threading, welding, and assembly work to connect system components securely
- Use basic math skills to measure distances, calculate volumes, and ensure precise installations
- Assist with remodeling or construction projects involving plumbing or HVAC systems as needed
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for each job performed
Experience
- Construction site experience with a focus on plumbing or mechanical systems preferred
- Hands-on experience with construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, or carpentry is highly desirable
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for system installation or troubleshooting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles related to septic system operations
- Handyman experience or previous roles in remodeling or assembly work will be advantageous
