Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including marketing available units, conducting tours, and negotiating lease agreements to meet occupancy goals.
- Oversee property maintenance and facilities management, coordinating repairs and inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing of tenant records, lease agreements, contracts, and legal documentation using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant legal requirements.
- Handle tenant relations by addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts through effective conflict management strategies, and providing excellent customer service.
- Administer rent collection processes, including late payments and upselling additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Collaborate with legal administrative teams on lease enforcement, contract management, and adherence to landlord-tenant law.
- Conduct regular property inspections using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to identify maintenance needs and coordinate timely repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in property leasing, facilities management, or landlord-tenant law.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC compliance, and legal administrative procedures related to property operations.
- Proficiency with Yardi, OneSite or similar property management software; experience with data entry and office administrative tasks such as filing and record keeping.
- Excellent customer service skills paired with effective phone etiquette and conflict resolution abilities.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills for lease agreements and contract negotiations; ability to upsell amenities or services when appropriate.
- Experience in property maintenance coordination and facilities management; familiarity with CMMS systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in legal documentation, contracts, and tenant records.
