Inside Sales Representative
As a crucial part of the Brooks Safety Solutions family, ESC Supply is a National Wholesale Distributor of Security Systems, Fire Alarms and Accessories, CCTV, Access Control, and other Low-Voltage Products.
Location: Huntsville, AL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the Role
ESC Supply is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to join our Huntsville branch. This is a customer-focused, hands-on role for someone who enjoys helping customers, learning products, supporting sales, and being part of a team.
You’ll be a key point of contact for customers—answering calls, helping them identify the right products for their needs, assisting with orders, and providing knowledgeable, responsive service. You’ll also work closely with the Branch Manager and branch team to support day-to-day operations and contribute to overall branch growth.
This is an all-around branch role. We’re looking for someone who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed, whether that means assisting a customer, supporting sales, helping with products and inventory, or taking care of other branch needs.
Industry experience is a plus, particularly experience in fire/life safety, security, low voltage, distribution, or another related industry.
What You'll Do
Customer Service & Inside Sales
- Answer customer calls and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Help customers identify products and solutions that meet their needs.
- Process customer orders and provide product information, pricing, and availability.
- Build positive relationships with existing customers and provide responsive follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services when appropriate.
- Support branch sales goals and contribute to overall branch growth.
- Promote ESC Central monitoring services, the ESC Supply website, and the ESC Supply app to customers.
Branch & Team Support
- Work closely with the Branch Manager and other team members to support branch objectives.
- Assist with day-to-day branch operations and help keep the branch organized and customer ready.
- Assist with product, inventory, and warehouse-related tasks as needed.
- Be willing to step in and help wherever needed to support customers and the branch.
- Participate in team meetings and share customer feedback and sales insights.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented work environment.
Customer & Company Support
- Resolve customer questions or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer and order information.
- Protect customer information and company data.
- Represent ESC Supply professionally in all customer interactions.
- Support daily operations of the branch to maintain an organized and clean environment for our customers.
What We're Looking For
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking with customers by phone and in person.
- Ability to learn technical products and confidently explain product information to customers.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Willingness to assist with a variety of branch responsibilities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with warehouse or branch duties as needed.
Preferred
- Experience in inside sales, customer service, distribution, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience in fire/life safety, security, low voltage, or a related industry.
- Experience working with contractors, installers, technicians, or other trade professionals.
- Familiarity with CRM, inventory management, point-of-sale, or other business software.
- Previous product knowledge or experience in a technical/product-driven environment.
Compensation & Growth
Pay: $19.00–$21.00 per hour
In addition to hourly pay, this position is eligible for a bonus opportunity tied to branch growth, shared between the Inside Sales Representative and Branch Manager. This provides an opportunity to directly benefit from the success and growth of the Huntsville branch.
