Your Job
Your Job as the DC Wave Planner is to work closely with the DC Shipping Supervisor, other DC Supervisors and Customer Service to coordinate and direct the daily workload for all ecommerce and Wholesale orders. Your work includes waving and routing of orders that will be processed and shipped according to customer expectations. Additionally, you will track the progress of waves, release more work to the floor as needed and maintain an open lines of communication with various departments in the distribution center. You will also route waves through the assign portal specific to each customer and coordinate shipments through each carrier. Our business is constantly evolving and the work you’ll be responsible for will have a tremendous impact on the DC’s ability to deliver results and maintain the highest level of service Brooks is known for!

Your Job
Your Job as the DC Wave Planner is to work closely with the DC Shipping Supervisor, other DC Supervisors and Customer Service to coordinate and direct the daily workload for all ecommerce and Wholesale orders. Your work includes waving and routing of orders that will be processed and shipped according to customer expectations. Additionally, you will track the progress of waves, release more work to the floor as needed and maintain an open lines of communication with various departments in the distribution center. You will also route waves through the assign portal specific to each customer and coordinate shipments through each carrier. Our business is constantly evolving and the work you’ll be responsible for will have a tremendous impact on the DC’s ability to deliver results and maintain the highest level of service Brooks is known for!
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily workload accordingly with all DC Operations departments
- Notify the DC Operations team of all requested changes from customers regarding scheduling, processing, and shipping. Implement changes as needed
- Coordinate special, expedited order requests with Customer Service (REX), Operations and Logistics
- Process daily invoicing and billing
- Support management and operational leadership to deliver a high level of service, meet quality expectations, and exceed productivity goals
- Execute prioritization of Ecommerce and Wholesale orders as directed by Customer Service and DC Order Shipping Supervisor
- Partner with the Inventory Department regarding shortages, maintain inventory logs and make order adjustments based on feedback from operations
- Perform data entry and records compilation
- Communicate to the DC Shipping Supervisor areas for continuous process improvement that improve DC workflow and performance to maximize efficiency
- Create bills of lading and coordinate routing and scheduling of customer pickups per customer routing guides
- Keep DC Supervisors team informed of discrepancies that could impact FTZ compliance.
- Other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years warehouse experience, required
- 1 years of specific wave planning experience
- Experience working with Warehouse Management System (WMS) such as Softeon, Manhattan, Red Prairie, High Jump
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.), required
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional ability to deal with adverse situations positively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with others. Be a team player.
- Ability to sit at a desk and perform computer work for 8-hour shifts
- Maintain a good attendance record

- Ability to work a regular work schedule and flexible work schedule when needed; overtime when necessary, during the scheduled workweek, weekends and holidays when work volume dictates the need, required
