Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries—in person, by phone, and email—providing accurate information and exceptional service
- Triage and handle employee inquiries regarding HR programs and policies and route more complex issues to the appropriate HR Center of Excellence
- Provide day-to-day administrative support including mail, correspondence, file maintenance, recordkeeping, and greeting visitors
- Assist with ID badge creation and maintenance
- Support routine processes such as verifications of employment, unemployment requests, and I-9 processing
- Maintain organized, compliant, and up-to-date HR files and documentation
- Utilize HR systems and Microsoft Office tools to support data entry, reporting, and department workflows
- Collaborate with HR team members on projects related to recruiting, learning and development, benefits, employee health, reward and recognition, and other HR initiatives
- Contribute ideas and process improvements that enhance the employee experience and elevate HR service delivery
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ related work experience required
- Working knowledge and understanding of human resource principles, practices and employment laws
- High level of integrity and professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality paramount
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven time management abilities with success meeting deadlines
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including basic Excel
Location: Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital located at 3599 University Blvd South, Jacksonville, FL 32216
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Compensation: Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
