About the Role
Our client, a global mining and metals company, is looking for a Manager – Safety to lead health and safety programs across two operating mine sites. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting safe, efficient operations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and improve site-wide health & safety programs
- Ensure compliance with MSHA and other regulations
- Partner with site leadership to promote a “zero harm” culture
- Manage and develop a team of safety professionals
- Deliver safety training and support workforce development
- Oversee reporting, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate across departments to support safe production
- Engage with regulators and support inspections as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in safety leadership within mining, heavy industry, or similar environments
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations (MSHA experience is a plus)
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence a safety-first culture
- Effective communicator who can work across all levels of an organization
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, operational setting
