Brooks Courier Service is looking for a dependable, hardworking Overnight Warehouse Associate to join our Wilmington team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for consistent hours and the opportunity to earn significant overtime. The position begins at 1:00 AM, six days per week, with shifts typically ending around 11:00 AM, depending on the day's workload.
We may also be able to offer some flexibility with the departure time for the right candidate who is balancing another job or commitment.
This position is initially temporary, but could become a long-term opportunity for the right person. We are looking for someone who is reliable, works hard, and wants to become a dependable part of our team.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages and freight
- Sort and organize shipments for delivery routes
- Move packages and freight throughout the warehouse
- Assist with preparing shipments for drivers
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow established warehouse and safety procedures
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position. Applicants must be able to:
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Walk and stand for extended periods
- Frequently bend, reach, lift, push, and pull
- Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
- Safely work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
What We're Looking For
- Dependability and punctuality are extremely important
- Ability to consistently report to work by 1:00 AM
- Availability to work six days per week
- Willingness and ability to work overtime
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but not required
- Reliable transportation to our Wilmington facility, particularly given the 1:00 AM start time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
