Duties
- Prepare, dispense, and review prescriptions with precision, adhering to all safety protocols and legal requirements.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers to develop and adjust medication plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medication histories and physiological considerations, to inform optimal therapy choices.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of medications while maintaining proper storage and documentation standards.
- Administer immunizations
- Provide patient education on medication administration, potential side effects, and medical management strategies.
- Assist in training pharmacy technicians, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining high standards of patient service.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care, including pediatrics, pain management, and medical management initiatives.
Experience
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols essential for effective patient care.
- Experience with pharmacy technician supervision and inventory management in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
