What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Brooklyn Transmission & Truck Repair?
Perform repair work on vehicles such as breakdowns, malfunctions, out of service on gas or diesel. Assist on emergency road calls to repair trucks. Diagnose and repair engines, clutch, transmissions, lift gates, ABS, and electrical issues on trucks.
Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on all trucks. Oil and filter preventive maintenance, greasing, tires inspections, replacement and rotations.
Communicate and work together with office on parts ordering and inventorying. Keep accurate and up-to-date records on all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Uniforms provided by employer.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, preferably CDL.
Lift, carry, and push/pull at least 75 pounds.
The ability to work well as part of a team and outside.
