The Opportunity: 

Prospect Schools is seeking an organized, flexible, and mission-driven Elementary School Interventionist. The ideal candidate is fully dedicated to the mission of Prospect Schools and to supporting the success of our students and families. As part of an ambitious and high-performing instructional team, our teachers are expected to create positive, equitable classroom environments that excite and invest our students in their learning goals.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

Instruction & Student Support

  • Provide targeted small group instruction throughout the school day using push-in and pull-out models in the least restrictive environment

  • Manage a caseload of Tier 2 and Tier 3 students, as determined by school leadership

  • Plan and deliver SETSS sessions aligned to student IEPs and grade-level needs

  • Use data to differentiate instruction and meet individual student goals

  • Demonstrate strong content knowledge in Math and ELA through clear, objective-driven instruction and meaningful student engagement

  • Apply structured literacy practices (Orton-Gillingham) to support student learning, where applicable

  • Create a structured, supportive, and engaging small group learning environment

  • Set clear expectations and establish routines that foster consistency and independence

  • Cultivate a classroom culture grounded in high expectations, student voice, and belonging

IEP Management & Compliance

  • Write, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

  • Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Communicate the IEP process and student progress clearly with families

  • Collaborate with related service providers and ensure alignment of supports

Family Partnership

  • Build strong relationships with families through consistent, proactive communication

  • Provide regular updates on student progress and learning goals

  • Partner with families during meetings and school events (e.g., Report Card Night)

  • Incorporate family and student feedback to strengthen the learning experience

Team Collaboration & Professional Growth

  • Collaborate closely with the student support team, including the Director of Student Support, interventionists, and paraprofessionals

  • Coordinate with outside service providers to ensure aligned support for students

  • Participate in coaching, professional development, and team meetings

  • Contribute to a positive adult culture through flexibility, collaboration, and a team-first mindset

  • Engage in ongoing learning related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Seek out and apply feedback to continuously improve practice

About you: 

  • Bachelors Degree, Masters Degree Preferred

  • Special Education Certification and/or SPED Experience 

  • Prior teaching experience preferred, including providing intervention and specially designed instruction 

  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail 

  • Experience working in a diverse school community 

  • Adept at collaborating and building community with others 


Salary:


The salary range for this role starts at $63,960, then increases based on years of experience. Our salaries are set through a lens of equity, and based on an individual’s skills, education, and years of experience relevant to the role. At Prospect Schools we remain committed to providing competitive salaries.
