About The Role

The ESOL Lead Instructor is a senior instructional leadership role at the heart of BCS's ESOL program. The position carries a direct teaching load of approximately 16 contact hours per week across multiple ESOL levels, combined with responsibility for supervising part-time ESOL instructors and owning student outcomes across the program. This is not primarily an administrative role — it is a role for an experienced educator who wants to lead instruction, develop other teachers, and make a measurable difference in students' lives. The Lead Instructor's focus is on what happens in the classroom and whether students are enrolling, persisting, progressing, and succeeding. This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Education Center in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and the Lead Instructor will be expected to adapt as program needs evolve.
