A non-profit multi human services organization serving primarily Asian-Americans in Sunset Park, Brooklyn is seeking ESL Instructors for its expanded Adult Literacy Program.
Applicants must have a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in English, linguistics, or education and a minimum of one year of professional experience in teaching or coordinating adult education programs. M.A. in TESOL a big plus. Fluency to communicate in Mandarin and Cantonese a plus; additional fluency in other Chinese dialects a big plus
Job Description
- Responsible for teaching ESOL to adult learners
- Preparing lessons plans and program materials
- Providing counseling, case management, and referral services to individual students
- Conducting program evaluation and participants’ assessment
- Preparing program reports
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
