Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, beverages, and light food items while maintaining high quality standards.
• Operate POS systems such as PECAN POS OR TOAST accurately for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and sales recording.
• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
• Manage cashier duties efficiently, including cash handling, basic math calculations for change, and balancing registers at shift end.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and café environment in accordance with food handling regulations.
• Assist with food preparation and serving tasks as needed to ensure smooth café operations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly without sacrificing quality or friendliness.

Qualifications

• Prior barista experience or coffee knowledge is highly preferred; enthusiasm for learning about coffee is essential.
• Experience with POS systems such as PECAN POS OR TOAST is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures in a café or food service environment.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours efficiently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and lift moderate loads when necessary.
