- Communicate with vendors to confirm orders and delivery schedules
- Evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstock
- Track shipments and resolve delays
- Support demand planning and product availability
- Analyze food market trends and pricing
- Research new products, brands, or alternatives
- Stay updated on seasonal product availability
- Maintain accurate purchasing records (pricing, vendors, orders)
- Assist senior buyers with procurement strategies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and food industry standards
