Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Surgical Tech Assistant Professor/Clinical Coordinator to join our faculty at our Tucson, AZ campus. In this on-site role, you will develop and lead coursework, facilitate hands-on clinical training, and mentor students in the Surgical Technology program. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, preparing and organizing lab sessions, coordinating clinical experiences with affiliated sites, assessing student progress, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. You will play a vital role in preparing students with the skills and knowledge needed for successful careers in surgical technology.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Technical Assistance and Technical Support
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to solve complex problems
- Effective Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional Customer Service skills to engage with students and clinical partners
- Teaching experience in higher education, particularly in allied health or surgical technology, is a plus
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST), with current credentials in good standing
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, though equivalent professional experience may also be considered
- Ability to manage clinical affiliations and maintain program accreditation compliance
