Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for checkout transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Conduct product demos and upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain proper merchandising standards, including stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving concerns promptly
- Promote store promotions and special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and adheres to store policies on phone etiquette and safety protocols
- Support team members in achieving sales goals through effective communication and teamwork
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in similar retail environments
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus for leadership opportunities within the team
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service expertise, are essential
- Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, stocking, and grocery store operations will be beneficial for success in this role
