Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selections, offering personalized recommendations and product demos to enhance their shopping experience
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell products by identifying customer needs and suggesting complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure the boutique is clean, organized, and well-stocked through regular stocking and merchandising efforts
- Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits, fostering confidence in their purchase decisions
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist with daily store operations as needed, including supervising team members or volunteers in the absence of management
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and retail sales transactions, including cash handling and retail math skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both English and bilingual settings
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a retail or grocery store environment
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demo activities confidently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor and professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Familiarity with retail math calculations necessary for accurate transactions and inventory management
