Location: Brookings, SD Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Position Highlights The Brookings Ambulance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paramedic to join our team! Home for us is the newly built Ambulance Station and Education Center just south of the Brookings Health System. We provide emergency 911 Advanced Life Support (ALS) services for the City of Brookings, much of the county of Brookings including the communities of Aurora, Bruce, Bushnell, Sinai, and Volga. Brookings Ambulance also assists area ambulance services from Arlington, Clear Lake, Elkton, Estelline, White, and Lake Preston when requested and provides EMS coverage for several events in the community such as SDSU, Dacotah Bank Center, and other sporting activities. The Brookings Ambulance also transfers critical and non-critical patients to other hospitals, most frequently in Sioux Falls. This is a full-time position scheduled 2 days a week, 24 hour shifts and will have benefits that include but are not limited to South Dakota Retirement, employee discounts on services, gym membership reimbursement (and on-site fitness center), eligible for public service loan forgiveness, cafeteria discounts, life insurance and so much more. Continuing education and ongoing training provided. Qualifications: Licensed in the State of South Dakota as a paramedic or able to obtain licensure. Previous ambulance experience is preferred. Provide excellent customer service, be flexible, able to adapt to a constantly changing work environment, make independent decisions and document in a detailed manner.
