Position Summary:
Maintains nursing department schedules and in-servicing while tracking budgeted hours.
Essential Functions:
- Because Brookhaven exists to care for our residents, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to provide quality care
- Must be in good physical condition as the position requires the ability to stand on one’s feet throughout the day, as well as, push, pull, move and/or lift frequently a minimum of 10 pounds and up to greater than 50 pounds occasionally

- Must be able to complete performance requirements independently while using good judgment as well as have the ability to harmoniously work with others
- Must maintain confidentiality of all employee information

Position Responsibilities:
- Must follow Brookhaven Policy and Procedures
- Ensure that staffing is adequate to meet State and Federal requirements
- Monitor nursing department hours daily
- Maintain attendance records for nursing department and initiate appropriate disciplinary process related to attendance issues
- Maintains records of nursing department in-servicing
- Plans in-service education as directed by DON and LNHA
- Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
- Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors Assists in payroll processing
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills recommended.
- Customer service, administrative and organizational skills required.
- Experience with scheduling for a nursing department required.
- Current STNA License
