What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Brookhaven Property Group?
We are a growing, national property management group seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians for multi-family apartment communities in the Auburn/Opelika, AL area. As a Maintenance Technician, you must be extremely organized and detail oriented. You should have knowledge of equipment types and parts.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, and repair all building facilities, machinery and equipment as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
- Complete assigned routine service tickets as directed by the property manager or maintenance supervisor.
- Assist maintenance supervisor with maintaining building material and supplies
- Coordinating and communicating with contractors, vendors, residents and other internal customers.
- Maintain HVAC systems and equipment.
- Working knowledge of various plumbing issues.
- Assist with routine preventative maintenance.
- Complete turnover work as needed.
- Ensure all work is done according to safety procedures, regulations, and building standards.
- Must comply with all Fair Housing guidelines.
The ideal candidate must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, twist and lift up to 25lbs. This position may require outdoor exposure for long periods of time. The position requires a rotating on-call schedule. HVAC & EPA certified preferred. CPO certification preferred or willing to obtain certification.
