Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and friendly Lifeguard and Swim Instructor to ensure the safety and enjoyment of our pool guests. Responsibilities
- Monitor pool area continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed.
- Conduct swimming lessons for individuals or groups of all ages and skill levels.
- Perform routine pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning the pool, skimming debris, and checking water chemistry.
- Maintain cleanliness of pool deck, locker rooms, and surrounding areas through regular pool cleaning duties.
- Assist guests with pool access, provide excellent guest services, and answer questions about facilities or programs.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for setting up equipment or handling supplies.
- Ensure all safety equipment is in good condition and readily accessible at all times.
Skills
- Proven lifeguard experience with current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate proper techniques.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical balancing and cleaning protocols.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with pool cleaning and maintenance.
- Attention to detail in safety monitoring and equipment checks.
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations.
- Prior experience in teaching swimming or water safety instruction is preferred but not required. This role is vital in creating a safe, enjoyable aquatic environment for all visitors while fostering water safety awareness through professional instruction.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
