About the Role
The Manager, Treasury will be a key partner to leadership and external stakeholders, including banks, counsel and rating agencies. The role will oversee all aspects of treasury operations within the organization, mainly managing cash flow, liquidity, financial risks, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires collaboration with portfolio companies to conduct strategic liquidity planning, financial analysis, and effective communication with the management team and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast enterprise-wide capital / liquidity requirements and cash flows, ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals
- Oversee long-term debt activities, including covenant compliance, interest and principal tracking, and lender reporting
- Ensure financing-related regulatory and compliance filings are prepared and submitted on time
- Settle interest rate derivatives based on contracts and maintain compliance with hedge accounting and reporting standards
- Manage internal board reporting and enterprise-wide treasury reporting
- Manage key external relationships including banking syndicates, credit rating agencies, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies
- Monitor daily cash balances and forecasts to ensure liquidity for operational needs
- Prepare cash flow templates and initiate required wire activity into Treasury system and banking portals
- Weekly review of AP to manage available funds
- Lead the development and maintenance of the corporate liquidity forecast, incorporating cross‑functional inputs on financing and cash requirements
- Maintain the company’s bank accounts including supporting opening and closing accounts, signer changes to bank accounts, and bank portal administration
- Support loan borrowing, continuations, conversion, and repayments on corporate revolver
- Prepare and monitor the Letter of Credit issuance and Surety bonds and maintain the track record of activities for letters of credit and credit facilities
- Prepare flow of funds documentation for various intercompany cash movements
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred
- Minimum 4 years of treasury experience, including cash management and treasury operations
- Experience with treasury systems and bank platforms
- Excellent cross functional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask with good time management skills to meet multiple reporting deadlines
- Ability to design financial processes and controls
- Self-starter with strong intrinsic motivation
- Strong analytical, Excel, and financial modeling skills
- Obtaining a relevant certification, such as the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) or other certifications are a plus
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site to perform most effectively.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000, bonus eligible.
