Job Summary
TerraForm Power is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Technology Operations to lead and support integrated IT and OT strategies for our operations. This role will drive a unified technology vision, building resilient, secure, and scalable platforms that enable enterprise systems and renewable generation sites.
The successful candidate will oversee our infrastructure roadmap—including cloud, networking, and telecom—while collaborating closely with OT teams to modernize SCADA and edge environments. This leader will deliver real-time operational capabilities, advance digital transformation, and ensure compliance with industry standards, all while fostering innovation and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute a unified IT/OT strategy aligned with business objectives and operational needs.
- Lead transformation initiatives for infrastructure modernization, OT integration, and digital enablement.
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, OT, field operations, and executive leadership.
Team Management & Development
- Directly manage IT Infrastructure and OT Systems/SCADA Integration managers and their teams.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and cross-training across IT and OT domains.
- Develop and mentor IT/OT teams to build technical and leadership capabilities.
Technology Operations & Integration
- Oversee architecture, operation, and security of cloud, network, endpoint, and SCADA environments.
- Ensure robust connectivity, data flow, and system reliability for both corporate and field assets.
- Drive integration of OT telemetry and control systems with enterprise IT platforms and data analytics.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Partner with Cybersecurity leadership to enforce security controls, segmentation, and incident response across IT and OT.
- Ensure alignment with NERC CIP, SOX, FERC, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards for compliance and audit readiness.
- Support audit readiness, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage relationships with MSPs, infrastructure partners, SCADA vendors, and integration consultants.
- Oversee service delivery and vendor performance for IT and OT, ensuring quality, SLA compliance, and effective escalation management.
- Coordinate with business units, asset managers, and field teams to align technology solutions with operational needs.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define and track KPIs for system health, uptime, security posture, and project delivery.
- Track KPIs for system health, uptime, and project delivery, and communicate technology roadmap, risks, and value delivery to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in IT, OT, or technology operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven success managing cross-functional teams and complex technology environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture (Azure/AWS), network design, SCADA/OT systems, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience with regulatory compliance (NERC CIP, FERC, SOX, SOC 2) and audit processes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial automation sectors is a strong asset.
