Duties
- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in various middle school subjects, including math, science, language arts, and social studies
- Develop and adapt lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Utilize learning technology and educational resources to enhance instruction and engagement
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive student support
Skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey concepts and motivate students
- Experience tutoring or teaching middle school students in various subjects
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for fostering a supportive learning environment
- Experience working with students who have different educational backgrounds or special needs is a plus
Qualifications
- Valid State of Ohio Teaching/Tutoring License
- Successful BCI & FBI background checks
- Willing to work as a team member and participate in ongoing training and collaboration
- Willing to do duties as assigned by the building principal
