The Role
We are seeking an organized, tech-savvy, and proactive Administrative Assistant who genuinely loves being around children and serving families. As the first point of contact for parents, students, and staff, you will set the tone for our school's warm and professional culture.

Key Responsibilities
The Welcoming Committee: Greet visitors, answer phones, and assist families and students with warmth, empathy, and professionalism.
The Organization Expert: Manage budget purchases, maintain accurate records, coordinate daily schedules, and keep the front office running seamlessly.
The Tech Champion: Utilize school management software, manage digital calendars, and draft clear, professional emails and newsletters for families.
The Proactive Problem Solver: Anticipate the daily needs of the teaching staff and administrative team, from prepping materials to managing incoming logistical changes.
Student-Centered Support: Comfort a student needing a band-aid, help a child find a lost backpack, and ensure all students feel safe and valued when they walk into the office.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Previous secretarial or administrative assistant experience is required (school environment experience is a plus, but not mandatory).
Tech-Savviness: Proficiency with Google Workspace, and a strong comfort level learning new digital platforms and databases.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact positively with diverse audiences, including young children, parents, and district officials.
Mindset: A calm under pressure, a high level of confidentiality, a proactive "how can I help?" attitude, and a genuine passion for supporting elementary-aged children.
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum of four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 3 years of Office Manager or Supervisory work. Working with public contact preferred.
Experienced in Microsoft Office, Google Docs and desktop publishing. Proficiency in use of Internet and Email.
