Job Description The Risk Management team is responsible for developing and managing the global enterprise risk management program. The team works across sectors, regions and functions within Real Estate and with a wide range of portfolio companies controlled by the Real Estate Group. This job involves strategic leadership and day-to-day guidance in the execution of the risk program in the Americas (Brazil, Canada and the United States) based on an understanding of the business objectives with respect to different assets. Responsibilities: Execute the enterprise risk program functions for the Real Estate Group’s portfolio of investments in the Americas Coordinate execution of the risk program functions in Brazil with the regional team Conduct risk assessments of investments in the portfolio and recommend risk mitigation Review quarterly and incident reports and oversee risk testing for the portfolio Perform risk diligence, facilitate negotiation of contract language related to risk and onboard new investments Manage quarterly risk reporting process, oversee maintenance of the reporting system, review regional submissions and prepare global risk report Liaise with regional internal audit team on annual audit planning, audit execution and finding remediation Develop strong relationships with regional risk resources, risk specialists, investments teams, portfolio managers and other stakeholders to facilitate program execution Address emerging risks in the region and support other risk initiatives, as needed Essential Skills/Qualifications: 10 years of experience in legal, operations or risk management Ability to provide practical, business‐oriented guidance in a dynamic, global environment Highly self‐motivated and proactive; eager to take ownership over work product Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills; ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner Ability to work in a decentralized, matrix organization and work collaboratively with a number of different stakeholders Ability to think pragmatically and apply judgment when assessing and in decision-making Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to develop relationships at all levels in the organization Excellent organizational skills and capability to effectively manage priorities while meeting timelines Team‐oriented; commitment to shared success above any personal accomplishment or recognition Experience in the real estate industry is considered an advantage but not a prerequisite Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
