Substitute Teacher

We are seeking reliable, flexible, and compassionate Substitute Teachers to join our on-call team. This is a per diem (day-by-day) position, meaning you will be scheduled on an as-needed basis to cover teacher absences across various classrooms and grade levels.

Responsibilities:

• Follow lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe, respectful environment for students
• Provide instructional support and maintain classroom routines
• Communicate with campus staff if any issues arise during the school day
• Supervise students during transitions or other non-instructional times
• Support a wide range of learners, including students with special needs or behavioral supports
• Adapt to different classroom settings, grade levels, and subject areas as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• No teaching certification or degree is required, though prior experience with children is preferred
• Ability to follow directions, stay calm under pressure, and maintain professional conduct
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Must pass a criminal background check and meet district hiring requirements

Preferred Traits:

• Experience working with children in school, daycare, camp, or tutoring environments
• Flexibility and comfort working across various campuses or grade levels
• Positive attitude and willingness to step in and support students of all abilities
