Description:Rewind OperatorPosition SummaryThe Rewind Operator is responsible for converting large rolls of printed and non-printed labels into specified quantities for shipping, splicing and rewinding end or remnant rolls into reusable rolls. Advancement opportunities through step progressions and learning new machine operations. Rate starts at $16.00 per hour. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesConverts large rolls of printed and non-printed labels into specific quantities as requested by the customer.Slits labels into correct size if necessaryCompletes score sheets which calculates the amount of work being performed.Cleans work areaLifts between 10 and 50 pound rolls of paperBag and organize rolls on carts for ShippingAt the end of the shift Operators clean up around their machine.Daily and timely attendance is required to perform the job successfully.Performs other duties as assignedJob RequirementsMust be able to lift / push/ pull up to 20 lbs unassisted (or more occasionally).Must be able to stand for the majority of shift – 2 hour increments.Short distance walking required with rolls to be placed on shipping table.Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently.Must be able to differentiate between color variance.Ability to work well with others.Must be able to perform well under deadline constraints and meet quality standards.Must be detail oriented and have excellent, quality driven work habits.Willingness to work overtime, rotating shifts, and if needed, holidays and weekends.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.Education and ExperienceHS Diploma or GED required.Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions· Manufacturing environment – exposure to some hazardous conditions but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. Safety regulations in place following OSHA guidelines.Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
