The Ecommerce Copywriter crafts persuasive, on-brand content that drives measurable lifts in engagement and revenue across multiple B2B and B2C label printing brands. This role transforms customer insights, voice-of-customer data, and product knowledge into high-performing product and category pages, landing pages, cart and checkout copy, and blog content. While SEO best practices are applied strategically, conversion and clarity take priority. Final copy is always human-authored, with research and QA supported by appropriate tools, ensuring all info is accurate and compliant.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
•Write persuasive, conversion-driven content for product pages, collections, offers/bundles, upsell modules, cart and checkout microcopy, post-purchase flows, lifecycle emails/SMS, and paid ad headlines.
•Clearly and accurately explain product details including materials, finishes, adhesives, core sizes, durability, and compliance factors.
•Plan, brief, and write blog or resource content that educates and converts.
•Refresh outdated materials with updated insights, verified quotes, and compliance checks.
•Embed smart internal links, product comparison tools, and compelling CTAs (e.g., sample requests, configurators, quote forms).
•Apply strong SEO hygiene: map search intent, write optimized metadata, structure content for scannability, add descriptive anchors and alt text, and recommend FAQ opportunities that enhance conversions.
•Use analytics, keyword research, and behavioral data to identify content gaps and improve messaging across key pages.
•Support content experiments and A/B tests by interpreting results and suggesting next steps.
•Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and quality standards across all brands and channels.
•Ensure clarity, accessibility, and regulatory compliance in all published content.
•Manage the end-to-end copy process (brief ? draft ? review ? QA ? publish).
•Maintain detailed change logs, document sources, and ensure final accuracy.
Job Requirements
•3–5 years of experience in e-commerce or DTC conversion copywriting with a portfolio of measurable results.
•Strong research skills, including voice-of-customer (VoC) methods such as review mining and interviews.
•Knowledge of user behavior principles, CRO, and UX best practices—writes copy that builds clarity, motivation, and trust.
•Working understanding of SEO as it supports conversions.
•Experience writing for CMS blocks/components; basic HTML skills a plus.
•Data literacy, including ability to interpret GA4, A/B tests, and analytics reports (experience with Semrush or Screaming Frog a bonus).
•Comfortable with remote/asynchronous workflows using Asana, Jira, Google Docs, and Figma.
•Self-sufficient writer who produces final drafts independently—AI tools are used for research or editing only.
•Strong communication skills and ability to articulate rationale behind copy decisions.
•Familiarity with label/printing terminology (materials, adhesives, compliance such as FDA or Prop 65) preferred.
•Knowledge of accessibility standards (plain language, descriptive link text, alt text) preferred.
•Experience briefing designers or making light creative edits in Canva is a plus.
•Experience with the following a plus: Asana, Jira, GA4, Semrush, Hotjar, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, CMS blocks, Figma,Convert, VWO, Optimize, Microsoft Teams, Outlook
