Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in providing support to individuals facing various challenges. This role involves working with diverse populations, including those with disabilities, and requires a commitment to fostering a supportive and therapeutic environment. The Clinician will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating both individual, family and group therapy sessions.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the unique needs of each client.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions focusing on various topics such as grief counseling, crisis management, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and session notes in compliance with ICD-10 standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients, including referrals to additional services as needed.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in psychotherapy and mental health treatment.
- Provide support for patients with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in all therapeutic approaches.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques and theories.
- Experience working with individuals with various mental health diagnosises is highly desirable.
- Proficient in grief counseling methodologies and crisis management strategies.
- Ability to conduct effective individual and group counseling sessions.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses.
- Experience in group therapy facilitation is preferred.
- Competence in patient assessment processes to identify needs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree in one of the following disciplines, or a closely related field: clinical psychology; education counseling; medicine; psychology; psychiatric nursing; rehabilitation counseling; social work
Supervision Received: A minimum of weekly supervision, by Clinical Director, as delineated by MA regulations
