Job Summary
The Yoga Fitness Instructor is responsible for leading safe, effective, and engaging yoga classes and private sessions for our members. This individual will create a welcoming environment, guide members in proper technique, and promote physical and mental well-being through various styles of yoga practice. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, energetic, and committed to helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals.
Job Functions
- Plan and deliver yoga classes for individuals and groups of various skill levels and backgrounds.
- Provide personalized instruction during private sessions tailored to individual goals and needs.
- Offer modifications and progressions to accommodate all fitness levels.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized studio environment before and after each class.
- Educate members on the physical and mental benefits of yoga practice.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful class environment.
- Stay up to date with yoga trends, techniques, and safety practices.
- Collaborate with other fitness and wellness staff to enhance overall member experience.
- Promote upcoming classes, workshops, and club wellness events.
- Maintain accurate schedules and attendance records as required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with multiple yoga styles (e.g., Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Power, Yin).
- Knowledge of meditation and breathwork techniques.
- Background in fitness training, pilates, or other movement modalities is a bonus.
- Ability to build a loyal member following through outstanding instruction and relationship-building.
