QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrated highly effective prior administrative and teaching experience, at least three years of each, preferably with the Bronx Charter Schools for Better Learning
2. Demonstrated success with personnel management
3. Demonstrated expertise in elementary school curricula and NYS Learning Standards
4. Exemplary leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
5. Clear commitment to and expertise in subordinating teaching to learning
JOB GOAL:
To assist the Executive Director in setting and achieving the highest standard of excellence, so that each student enrolled in the school may be provided with an appropriate and effective education.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The management responsibilities of the Principal include overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school, with special emphasis on handling all issues related to students, parents, student record keeping, facilities, health/safety, technology, supplies/materials/equipment and the supervisions of instructional/teaching assistants.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Work year and salary to be determined by the Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
Salary : $160,000 - $190,000
