Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted clearly.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
• Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures, including open and close shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements.
• Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
• Support team members with tasks such as food handling, sanitation, or hosting duties when required.
• Follow all food industry regulations related to safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders while maintaining communication with the front-of-house team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members alike.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing tabs confidently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in upselling menu items or promoting specials to maximize sales opportunities.
• Culinary experience or kitchen support background is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Valid certifications related to food safety or alcohol service are beneficial but not required at the outset; training will be provided if necessary. Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
