Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are noted clearly.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures, including open and close shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings smoothly and optimize seating arrangements.
- Foster positive guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
- Support team members with tasks such as food handling, sanitation, or hosting duties when required.
- Follow all food industry regulations related to safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders while maintaining communication with the front-of-house team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that creates a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members alike.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing tabs confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
