After School Care Specialist - Outdoor School

Overview:
Join our dynamic team at Brompton Community School, an innovative outdoor nature school committed to providing a unique learning experience for children. We are currently seeking an After School Care Specialist for the remainder of the 2025 - 2026 school year to create a safe, engaging, and nature-centered environment for students during their extended care hours.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervision and Safety:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students during after school care hours.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Supervise outdoor activities and ensure a secure environment.

2. Engaging Activities:
- Develop and lead activities, games, and projects.

3. Communication:
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents, providing updates on children's activities and any relevant information.

4. Team Collaboration:
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

5. Environment Maintenance:
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the care areas.
- Assist in setting up and putting away materials and equipment.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Passion for outdoor education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Schedule:
- Part-time position, typically working after school hours.
- Additional hours may be available
