Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor to manage residential mortgage files from submission through funding. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and takes ownership of their pipeline. Having an MLO license is a plus and considered an added bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mortgage loan files from submission to final funding
- Collect, review, and organize borrower documentation
- Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and third parties
- Order and coordinate services (appraisals, title, VOEs, etc.)
- Review loan files for completeness and accuracy
- Submit files to underwriting and manage conditions
- Clear conditions and ensure timely loan progression
- Ensure all files meet compliance and quality control standards
Definition of a Fully Serviced File: A residential mortgage loan where the Loan Processor is primarily responsible for managing the loan from submission through final funding, including documentation, communication, clearing conditions, and ensuring compliance standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage industry experience
- General knowledge of mortgage loan products and guidelines
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance and accuracy
- Comfortable working in a team-oriented environment
Compensation & Benefits:
- $25/hour or $600 per fully serviced file (whichever is greater)
- Remote flexibility (hybrid schedule)
