Product Specialist (Streamline by DMS product)
Salary Range: $62k - $80k (Commensurate with Experience)
Job Summary
The Product Specialist serves as a subject matter expert on the Streamline platform, bridging the gap between product development, quality assurance, sales, and end users. This role is responsible for deeply understanding product functionality, market positioning, and customer needs to support product strategy, enhance user experience, and drive successful adoption.
The Product Specialist collaborates cross-functionally to gather requirements, support product enhancements, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical execution. This position also plays a key role in client engagement, training, and ongoing product enablement, helping articulate the platform’s value proposition and ensuring customers maximize its capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of the Streamline platform, including features, use cases, and product roadmap
- Conduct competitor, market, and customer research to inform product strategy and identify opportunities for differentiation
- Partner with sales leadership (e.g., CEO, Business Development) during demos to capture client requirements and translate them into actionable development tickets
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to triage, prioritize, and manage enhancement requests and defect resolution
- Engage external stakeholders (brokers, carriers, third-party partners) to evaluate CRM and benefits administration needs across the lifecycle
- Create, maintain, and update product documentation, implementation guides, and training materials
- Deliver user training and ongoing product education to clients and internal teams
- Support operational teams (e.g., BBS) with data audits, maintenance, and issue resolution
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support the design, development, and launch of new product features
- Communicate product value proposition clearly to internal stakeholders, partners, and customers
- Perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in product support, product management, business analysis, or SaaS environment
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., QA, development, sales)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ticketing systems
- Proven ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Experience supporting customer-facing product implementations or training
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, CRM platforms, or benefits administration/insurance industry
- Familiarity with broker, carrier, or HR/benefits ecosystems
- Prior involvement in product roadmap planning or feature prioritization
- Experience supporting product demos or pre-sales activities
