Peace Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Peace Officer to uphold safety, security, and order within our community. As a Peace Officer, you will serve as a visible presence, ensuring the protection of people, property, and assets through proactive patrols, enforcement of laws and regulations, and effective conflict management. Your role is vital in maintaining a safe environment by utilizing your law enforcement skills, surveillance techniques, and emergency response capabilities. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, or violations of laws and policies.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including accidents, disturbances, or criminal activities, coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
• Enforce laws and regulations related to security, animal control, immigration compliance, and loss prevention.
• Perform surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring tools to detect potential threats or unlawful behaviors.
• Write detailed reports documenting incidents, observations, investigations, and actions taken to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Assist with criminal investigations by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses or suspects, and supporting law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and leadership, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved.
• Handle animals involved in incidents or found stray animals with appropriate animal care techniques and knowledge of animal handling protocols.
• Conduct inspections of facilities or properties to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Educate the public on safety procedures and community guidelines to foster a secure environment.
• Maintain all security equipment and ensure compliance with legal standards related to law enforcement operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in law enforcement, security services, military service or related fields demonstrating leadership and discipline.
• Knowledge of criminal investigation procedures, report writing standards, and law enforcement practices.
• Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid are highly desirable.
• Ability to drive safely under various conditions with a valid driver’s license.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills for effective report writing and public interaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.04 - $23.15 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
