Position Summary
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Receptionist to join our long-term care team. This position serves as the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff while helping maintain a welcoming, organized, and secure environment within the facility.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and courteously
- Greet residents, visitors, vendors, and staff at the front entrance
- Monitor and respond appropriately to door alarms and facility entry systems
- Assist visitors with sign-in procedures and general inquiries
- Maintain communication logs and front desk documentation
- Support administrative staff with clerical duties as needed
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and department leaders regarding visitor or resident concerns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous receptionist, customer service, or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer and telephone system knowledge
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Reliable attendance and punctuality required
