Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards, upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience.
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards.
- Clear tables, bussing dishes swiftly to keep the dining area clean and organized.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service in fine dining or casual settings.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine pairings to assist guests in making informed choices.
- Support guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, fostering repeat business through positive interactions.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; experience in fine dining or nightclubs is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order entry and processing.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and bill splitting accurately.
- Experience in serving, bussing, or host/host roles is advantageous; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial too.
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations and teamwork within the restaurant industry.
