What are the responsibilities and job description for the HVAC Service Technician position at Brody HVAC, LLC?
Brody HVAC — Service Technician
Location: Acworth, GA | Full-Time | In Person
Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
Why We Exist
Brody HVAC was built on a simple belief: people deserve to be treated the way you would want your own family treated. We fix it right the first time, we don't cut corners, and when something goes wrong — which is rare — we show up and own it. We don't run from responsibility.
Six years in, we have never bought a lead. Not once. Every job we've ever done came from a relationship, and those relationships exist because the people who show up to do the work — technicians like you — do it right, every time. That is not an accident. It's a philosophy.
Who We Are
We are a residential and commercial HVAC company serving the greater Atlanta metro. Our clients include homeowners, property managers, churches, and commercial building owners who have learned they can trust us completely. That trust is earned one service call at a time, and it's the reason we are still turning work away while other companies are chasing leads that five competitors already have.
Our team operates by a simple code we call BE A THINKER:
- Accountable — we own our results, good and bad
- Teachable — we never stop learning
- Hard Working — we outwork the problem
- Inspirational — we lift the people around us
- Necessary — we make ourselves indispensable to every client
- Kind — we lead every interaction with care
- Efficient — we respect people's time and money
- Results Oriented — we close the loop on everything we start
If you read that list and thought — that's who I already am — keep reading.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who takes real pride in doing the job right. This isn't a truck-roll-and-move-on kind of role. When you show up at a customer's home or business, you are the face of everything Brody HVAC stands for — and you will be trusted to diagnose, repair, and maintain both residential and commercial systems with the same care you would want for your own family's home.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems (heating, cooling, and ventilation) on residential and light commercial equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Communicate clearly and honestly with customers about what's wrong and what it will take to fix it
- Make honest recommendations for repairs or system replacements — never oversell, never cut corners
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Ensure every job meets company standards and safety regulations
- Represent Brody HVAC in a way that makes customers trust us with the next job, too
You Are the Right Person If
- You would rather fix it right than fix it fast
- You take ownership of your work and don't make excuses when a job goes sideways
- You are teachable — you want to keep sharpening your craft, not coast on what you already know
- Customers trust you the moment you walk in, because you are straight with them
- You take pride in a truck that is stocked, a workspace that is clean, and a job that is done right
This Isn't the Right Role If
- You're looking to do the minimum and move to the next call
- You'd rather guess than diagnose
- You're not comfortable being the one who has to explain a problem — and the fix — to a customer face to face
- You cut corners when no one's watching
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC service experience
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with residential and light commercial systems
- NATE certification (a plus)
- Familiarity with service software/apps
What We Offer
- Competitive pay, based on experience
- Performance incentives/bonuses
- Company vehicle and phone
- Opportunities for growth and advancement
- A supportive, team-focused culture where good work is noticed
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
How to Apply
If you are a technician who takes pride in doing the job right and wants to join a company that never buys a lead because it never has to — we would love to hear from you.
Send your resume to victoria@brodyhvac.com. Optional but encouraged: tell us about a time you diagnosed a tricky problem for a customer — what you did, and what it taught you about doing the job right the first time. We read every answer.
